Introduction
The distance of endurance and devotion.
Named after the sacred Langbiang mountain, the 100KM journey draws inspiration from the tragic love story of the K’Ho people between K’Lang and H’Biang, a timeless symbol of connection, loyalty, and the courage to transcend all boundaries.
Starting from Lam Vien Square in the heart of Da Lat, the course quickly leaves behind the familiar rhythm of the city, leading runners into the layered terrains of the highlands. This is the only distance that conquers all three iconic peaks of the race: Langbiang – Elephant Mountain – Pinhatt. Each summit presents a different challenge, demanding adaptability, resilience, and the enduring spirit of the Saola within you throughout the journey.
From technical jungle trails deep within Bidoup–Nui Ba National Park to ridgelines opening up panoramic views over the Tuyen Lam National Scenic Area, the 100KM distance is not only a test of physical strength, but a journey of willpower. Upon reaching the finish line at Tuyen Lam Lake, what remains is not just your time or ranking, but whether you were able to hold your rhythm until the very end. Not everyone finishes this distance.
But those who do will understand why they started.
The sacred mountains tell stories of the past.
And you - What will you choose to write next?

Course Description
The 100KM journey begins at the heart of Da Lat — Lam Vien Square — and finishes at the iconic Clay Tunnel Tourist Area. More than just an ultra trail race, this course is a grand adventure across three of Lam Dong’s most legendary mountains: Langbiang, Elephant Mountain, and Pinhatt.
Runners ease into the race with smooth paved roads through the quiet early morning streets of Da Lat, before the route gradually transitions onto rolling dirt trails and deep into the highlands. The first major challenge arrives with the long ascent to Langbiang Peak (2,167m) — the rooftop of Lam Dong Province. As dawn breaks over the mountains, runners are rewarded with cool air, vast open views, and a sense of calm that only the highlands can offer.
Leaving Langbiang behind, the course flows through scenic forest trails surrounding Suoi Vang Lake, weaving between pine forests, hidden valleys, and peaceful countryside landscapes. Along the way, runners experience the constantly changing character of Da Lat — from quiet dirt roads and lush greenery to panoramic views of the city’s famous greenhouses scattered across the hillsides. Beyond the midway point, the trail enters denser forests where towering pine canopies, crystal-clear streams, and fresh mountain air create a refreshing rhythm before the next major challenge. The route then passes through the ethnic village of Gan Reo and its coffee farms, offering a rare glimpse into the local highland culture and daily life.
From here, the race becomes even more demanding as runners take on Elephant Mountain (1,815m), a wild and rugged massif known for its untouched jungle trails and multiple peaks. After conquering Elephant Mountain, the final summit awaits: Pinhatt Peak (1,600m). Standing above Tuyen Lam Lake, runners are rewarded with one of the most breathtaking panoramic views in Da Lat — a perfect finale to the mountain trilogy.
The final kilometers descend gently along trails hugging the lakeside, where fatigue slowly gives way to emotion, pride, and accomplishment. As runners reach the finish line at the Clay Tunnel Tourist Area, they complete not only a 100KM race, but an unforgettable journey through the soul of Da Lat’s mountains and forests.

Please note we are a cup-less event. In an effort to cut down on waste, we will have no drinking cups at aid stations. You will need to carry a cup or hydration pack with you. Limited stock of hydrations packs will be available for sale at the event merchandise, but we encourage you to purchase one in advance and use it in your training. First Aid will be available at each aid station, and at finish. There will also be roving first aid crews on the course.
Should you decide to pull out of the race at any aid station, kindly make your attention known to the aid station’s crews or specifically to our technical commissioners present at every aid station.
There will be toilet facilities at each aid station location
A drop bag service will be available which allows you to have your own personal supplies (gels, food, change of socks, shoes, shorts, lubricant, etc.) available at certain aid stations.
Midway Aid station drop bags can be delivered to the drop bag tents at the race start line area on Saturday 9 January 2026 from 01:00am.
The drop bags will be returned to the drop bag location within 4 hours (20:00 PM 9 January 2026) after the checkpoint cut-off time (16:00 PM 9 January 2026). Clearly mark your drop bag sticker provided in your race pack.
If you would like to add more marking to your bag we suggest using a permanent marker pen with:
- Surname
- Race number
- Location
At aid stations drop bags will be lined up numerical order. Any bags without or clearly written/visible with a name and race number, will placed at the end of the number range.
Only the runner can collect their drop bag at the drop bag locations. Once each aid station drop bag is finished with it must be taken to the used drop bag pile.
100K Challengers are allowed to drop a mid-way drop bag which would allow you to have your personal supplies (gels, food, dry clothes, and shoes etc) at AS5 and a finishing drop bag which allow you to have your own personal supplies (drinks, food, change of clothes, and footwear etc).
All Distances
Every runner will be provided with a Finish Line drop bag.
Finish line drop bags can be left in the designated area near the start line on the morning of each respective race. These allow you to have something warm at the start that you can then collect at the finish.
For 100K, finish line drop bags can be left in the designated area near the start line at Lam Vien Square on Saturday morning from 01:00AM.
We love support crews almost as much as our runners at Vietnam Highlands Trail by UTMB – you are always the most colourful (and loudest!) and a huge part of the magical atmosphere of the whole weekend.
You also have the very important job of getting your runners to the finish line!!
First job for support crew is to read the support crew section in the Runner Guide which will be available one month before the event. It contains important information you will need to know for the event.
To keep the event manageable as well as fair and safe for all athletes, please note that support crews cannot run alongside their runners at any point on the course outside (100m) of the aid stations and may only support their runners at specified aid stations.
