Introduction
Named after Pinhatt, a mountain of “the elder and the younger,” the 20KM journey evokes kinship, companionship, and enduring bonds. Like the Saola, never truly alone, this journey finds its fullest meaning when shared. Starting and finishing at Tuyen Lam Lake, the course opens into some of the most defining landscapes of Da Lat’s highlands. Runners will ascend Pinhatt Peak, where the entire expanse of Tuyen Lam reveals itself from above, quiet, vast, and deeply immersive.
The terrain shifts continuously, from open pine forests to dense primary forests, interwoven with rare red pine groves, creating a route that is both diverse and rich in experience. Though shorter in distance, it is far from easy. Steep climbs, technical trails, and constantly changing terrain demand focus and control.
Beautiful, yet not simple. Short, yet undeniably challenging.
Sacred Peaks tell the stories of the past. What story will you choose to write next?

Course Description
The course starts and finishes at the Clay Tunnel Tourist Area, looping through the southern forests of the Tuyen Lam Lake National Tourist Area.
Runners are challenged right from the start, with a steep up-and-down trail section immediately after crossing the starting line, leading to AS Maple Leaf.
From there, the journey continues toward the highest point of the route — Pinhatt Peak (1,600m). Along the way, runners move through untouched primary forest, where nature remains largely undisturbed. Flowing streams, fallen trees, and the subtle sounds of insects and wildlife create an immersive, almost meditative experience. AS 2 awaits 1.5KM before the summit.
At the top of Pinhatt, a panoramic view unfolds, capturing the full expanse of Tuyen Lam Lake, both majestic and poetic. This is also a key check-in point, offering runners a moment to pause and take in the landscape.
From there, the course descends steadily, following trails along the lower reaches of the lake, before leading runners back to the finish line at the Clay Tunnel Tourist Area — where the journey concludes with a well-earned sense of accomplishment.

All Distances
Every runner will be provided with a Finish Line drop bag.
Finish line drop bags can be left in the designated area near the start line on the morning of each respective race. These allow you to have something warm at the start that you can then collect at the finish.
We love support crews almost as much as our runners at Vietnam Highland Trail by UTMB – you are always the most colourful (and loudest!) and a huge part of the magical atmosphere of the whole weekend.
You also have the very important job of getting your runners to the finish line!!
First job for support crew is to read the support crew section in the Runner Guide which will be available one month before the event. It contains important information you will need to know for the event.
To keep the event manageable as well as fair and safe for all athletes, please note that support crews cannot run alongside their runners at any point on the course outside (100m) of the aid stations and may only support their runners at specified aid stations.
Assistance are only allowed at :
