Introduction
Starting from the Clay Tunnel, the 10K Tuyen Lam course of Vietnam Highlands Trail by UTMB® unfolds as a gentle passage through nature, where each step leads you across sweeping fields of cogon grass, catching the winds of the Da Lat highlands. The route weaves through open pine forests, interspersed with airy trail sections and stretches of signature grass-covered hills.
From multiple points along the course, Tuyen Lam Lake reveals itself, wide, serene, and quietly captivating, offering one of the most complete scenic experiences of the race. With its accessible terrain and steady rhythm, this distance is ideal for those new to trail running, or for anyone seeking a journey that is just challenging enough, yet deeply enjoyable.
10K Tuyen Lam is where you connect with nature in its gentlest form, as your steps soften, your breath slows, and you become immersed in the subtle movements of earth, wind, and light. And somewhere along the way, as a Saola, you may sense a quiet guidance, the instinct of something wild, free, and enduring.
Sacred Peaks tell the stories of the past. What story will you choose to write next?

Course Description
As the shortest trail distance, Tuyen Lam 10K still delivers a dynamic experience, combining trail running with speed.
Starting from the Clay Tunnel Tourist Area, runners quickly transition onto the trail, with rolling ups and downs that help the body adapt to the terrain. After leaving AS Lavender, the course enters forested sections within the Tuyen Lam Lake National Tourist Area.
On the way to AS Clay House, runners move mostly under shaded tree canopies, with terrain that is favorable for maintaining a steady and faster pace.
Leaving AS Clay House, the course opens into flatter sections, allowing runners to push their speed toward the finish back at the Clay Tunnel Tourist Area, where runners could enjoy life size clay sculpture.
Overall, this is a fast and highly runnable course.

All Distances
Every runner will be provided with a Finish Line drop bag.
Finish line drop bags can be left in the designated area near the start line on the morning of each respective race. These allow you to have something warm at the start that you can then collect at the finish.
We love support crews almost as much as our runners at Vietnam Highland Trail by UTMB – you are always the most colourful (and loudest!) and a huge part of the magical atmosphere of the whole weekend.
You also have the very important job of getting your runners to the finish line!!
First job for support crew is to read the support crew section in the Runner Guide which will be available one month before the event. It contains important information you will need to know for the event.
To keep the event manageable as well as fair and safe for all athletes, please note that support crews cannot run alongside their runners at any point on the course outside (100m) of the aid stations and may only support their runners at specified aid stations.
Assistance are only allowed at :
- ASA: Lavender
- ASB: Clay House
Pacers are not allowed for the 10K - TUYEN LAM
