Race Rules

The Vietnam Highlands Trail by UTMB 2027 is an international trail running event held in Lam Dong Province, aiming to promote Vietnam’s highland landscapes to both domestic and international communities through endurance sports and nature exploration.

The race routes are built around iconic mountains such as Langbiang, Elephant Mountain, and Pinhatt, offering diverse terrain, scenic beauty, and rich cultural depth unique to the Central Highlands.

Beyond physical challenge, the event promotes an active lifestyle, strengthens the connection between people and nature, and raises awareness of environmental protection and ecosystem conservation, including rare wildlife species in the region.

Vietnam Highlands Trail by UTMB aims to become an annual international-standard event, contributing to tourism diversification, destination branding, and sustainable socio-economic development in Lam Dong Province and Vietnam.

About the Race Each distance consists of a single continuous stage. Participants may run at their own pace but must finish within the cut-off time.

• The 100K Langbiang: Starts at 03:00 AM (Jan 9, 2027) from Lam Vien Square, finishes at Clay Tunnel, cut-off: 27 hours
• The 50K Elephant: Starts at 05:00 AM, same start/finish, cut-off: 18 hours
• The 20K Pinhatt: Starts at 07:30 AM from Clay Tunnel (loop), cut-off: 9.5 hours
• The 10K Tuyen Lam: Starts at 09:00 AM, cut-off: 5 hours
• The 5K Xuan Huong: at Lam Vien Square
