TRANSFER OF A REGISTRATION
a) To another runner:
Runners can transfer their race entry to someone else in accordance with the below stated Person to Person Transfer date. It is only available for transfer the same distance.
It is possible to transfer a registration to someone else until 11:59 PM (GMT+7) on 25 December 2026 provided that the runner who will benefit from the registration transfer also meets the entry conditions listed above. The original registration will not be refunded and a US$ 50 transfer fee be charged to the new runner.
To transfer an entry to someone else, the initial registrant must write in to request for the transfer as well as to include the details of the person who will be taking up the race slot (First Name, Last Name, email address and gender)
**As stated in the Event Waiver, under no circumstance are you permitted to give your bib to another person. The safety of our athletes is paramount, therefore we need to ensure we have correct details of all our athletes on course. b) To another race of the same event:
To request a transfer from one race distance to another, runners must email in to request for a change in Category by 11:59 PM (GMT+7) on 25 December 2026.
- Transferring to a higher distance: It is possible to transfer to a higher distance and space is available, the runner must pay the difference in entry fees between the two distances. However, the request will not be automatically accepted and will be at the discretion of the race director.
- Transferring to a shorter distance: It is possible to transfer to a shorter distance and space is available, no refund will be given. Transfers are only available if the new distance is not sold out. Any questions on transfers can be in writing via email at Vietnamhighlandstrail@service.byutmb.world
PREGNANCY POLICY
UTMB have released the UTMB World Series Pregnancy Policy, which applies to this event.
The full UTMB World Series Pregnancy Policy is available. A summary of this policy is included below for guidance. The full policy will apply to the extent of any inconsistency.
Eligible athletes (as outlined below) are able to request a full refund OR defer their entry for up to 2 years to the same race and distance as originally entered.

Requests for a refund or deferral in accordance with the UTMB World Series Pregnancy Policy must be notified to the organiser in writing via email at EMAIL@info.byutmb.world. All requests must be made prior to the race. For races that require a valid UTMB Index, athletes choosing to defer their entry must ensure their index is valid at the time they choose to participate in the race.
For eligible athletes requesting a refund, please allow up to 90 business days for your refund to be processed. The refund is automatically issued to the credit card originally used to pay for the registration. If this card has since been cancelled or has expired, it is the athlete’s responsibility to notify our customers service team when requesting the eligible refund.
ADAPTIVE ATHLETE POLICY
As part of UTMB's ongoing efforts to increase and encourage the participation of athletes with disabilities in trail running races, UTMB has implemented a new policy for all UTMB World Series events.
Who is eligible for the policy? This policy will apply to athletes in the adaptive athlete open division. Participation in the Adaptive Athlete Open Division is available to athletes with the following disabilities:
- Visual Impairment
- Intellectual Disability
- Physical or Neurological Movement Disability
Runner-Guide Policy: All adaptive athletes are allocated an extra bib number, free of charge, for a guide runner to accompany them on all or parts of their race. See conditions.

PROCESS FOR ADAPTIVE ATHLETES
- Complete the Adaptive Athlete Open Application.
- You will be contacted once your adaptive athlete status has been approved.
- When you register to a new event, please directly contact the race organization with the confirmation of your adaptive athlete open approval.
- If you require a runner-guide, please contact the race organization directly with the following information: the name and contact details of your chosen runner-guide. Please contact the organization as soon as you have registered.
- You must pre-register for the Hoka UTMB Mont-Blanc if you wish to participate and contact the organisation with proof of your status approval.
